I just love how you use buttons for cherries. I have used your tutorials in smocking. One of these evenings I want to find one on feather stitching. I understand the concept but cannot turn my hand right-do you think its because I'm a grandma? Much more success to you.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15679709274120715735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199658097942744635.post-87121378875678368152010-01-02T21:43:12.711-06:002010-01-02T21:43:12.711-06:00I couldnt find a contact email for you, so I will ...I couldnt find a contact email for you, so I will post my question here (my email addy is JenniferDannielle at comcast.net)

What do you do when you are smocking and your thread breaks, short? I ended up with a knot in my floss and as I tried to pull it out, my thread broke off and it was about an inch short, close to the smocking stitching. Do you just pull out the stitches until you can tie off or the entire row or what?

Thanks in advance. and Happy New Year.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16708706761415904578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199658097942744635.post-70133455103393815322010-01-02T21:40:29.708-06:002010-01-02T21:40:29.708-06:00I found your YouTube tutorials on Jan 1. yesterday...I found your YouTube tutorials on Jan 1. yesterday and then found your blog and website (while googling smocking designs) and just wanted to say Thank you so much for posting your tutorial videos. I have had a smocking pleater (new in it's box) for a year and a half now. And was on the edge of wanting to sell it on ebay out of frustration for not knowing how to smock and not able to afford classes...So then I thought, Let me look on YouTube and there you were. And let me say, since yesterday evening, I have been practicing stitches and have practicing pleating fabric (still need more practice, Im breaking threads) and just wanted to let ya know you are appreciated and the videos you posted are amazing. You make smocking easy and my trellis and cable stitches are wonderful. Now I just have to work on the picture smocking, stacking and pleating and I can then have the confidence to create something beautiful for my girls for Easter and Valentine's as well. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16708706761415904578noreply@blogger.com
